Responsible for driving business growth through strategic client acquisition, market expansion, and relationship management. Oversees the identification of new opportunities, development of proposals, negotiation of contracts, and alignment of business development activities with company objectives. Ensures sustainable revenue growth and long term partnerships across target markets.
Core Job Functions- Market Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in construction, MEP, and hospitality sectors. - Client Acquisition:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. - Proposal Management:
Lead preparation of bids, tenders, and commercial proposals. - Negotiation:
Manage contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and long term agreements. - Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goals. - Reporting:
Deliver accurate pipeline reports, forecasts, and market intelligence. - Collaboration:
Work closely with project, commercial, and operations teams to ensure delivery capability matches client expectations.
- Appointment at the discretion of Senior Management.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of business development experience in construction/MEP or related industries.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and client relationship management.
- Prioritise integrity, professionalism, and respect in all business dealings.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster teamwork and build trust based relationships.
- Honour commitments and deliver results with accountability.
- Demonstrate initiative, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain high standards in documentation, reporting, and conduct.

- Achieve annual revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity tracking.
- Deliver timely and compliant bid submissions.
- Monitor conversion rates from proposals to contracts.
- Align business development activities with QA/QC, HSE, and operational requirements.
- Exhibit leadership traits including integrity, courage, and strategic alignment.
- Demonstrate strong market awareness, commercial acumen, and delivery focus.
- Lead identification and pursuit of new projects and clients.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and proposals.
- Track and report on business development performance.
- Build long term relationships with clients, consultants, and partners.
- Attend client meetings and represent company interests.
- Ensure client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities.
- Develop business development strategies aligned with company vision.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Provide input into corporate strategy and expansion plans.
- Support negotiation of commercial terms with clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure alignment of proposals with contractual obligations.
- Liaise with commercial and legal teams to protect company interests.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure delivery capability.
- Align procurement, project execution, and commercial strategies with business development goals.
- Manage external partnerships and alliances.
- Translate business development targets into resource and budget plans.
- Report deviations and corrective actions to senior management.
- Attend site visits and industry events to identify opportunities.
- Promote our client's capabilities in target markets.
