Role OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Auction Operations Intern to support our auction management team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills in auction logistics, bidder coordination, catalog preparation, and post-auction processing within a fast-paced professional environment.
You will work closely with senior operations staff across all stages of the auction lifecycle — from pre-event preparation to post-sale reconciliation — and leave with a comprehensive understanding of how modern auction platforms operate.
Key Responsibilities Pre-Auction Preparation- Assist in cataloging and documenting items for upcoming auctions, including descriptions, condition notes, and photography coordination.
- Support data entry and quality control of lot information into the auction management system.
- Help prepare bidder registration materials and manage pre-registration inquiries.
- Coordinate with vendors and consignors to collect and verify item details.
- Provide on-site or remote operational support during live auction events.
- Monitor bidding activity and assist in resolving any real-time operational issues.
- Liaise between departments (marketing, finance, logistics) to ensure smooth event execution.
- Assist the auctioneer team with lot tracking and bid recording.
- Support the reconciliation of auction results, invoicing, and payment tracking.
- Help coordinate the pickup, shipping, or delivery of sold items.
- Compile post-event reports and assist in buyer/seller communication.
- Contribute to process improvement documentation and operational playbooks.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Event Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Prior experience or coursework in logistics, retail operations, or event coordination.
- Familiarity with auction platforms (e.g., Bidspirit, Invaluable, Live Auctioneers) is a plus.
- Basic data analysis or reporting skills (Excel pivot tables, dashboards).
- Arabic language proficiency is advantageous.
