Executive Director Asset Management; Motorsports Assets

MRG is proud to be a partner with a major Saudi Arabian destination developer, who is appointing a senior asset management leader for a flagship motorsports track and associated assets within one of the Kingdom's destination developments.

This is a rare owner-side opportunity to influence the commercial, operational, and customer strategy of a landmark racecourse asset before opening. The role will sit at the point where development, operations, commercial strategy, hospitality, event programming, governance, and long-term asset performance come together.

The successful candidate will lead the asset management strategy for the track, ensuring the asset is positioned for sustainable financial performance, strong operator delivery, premium customer experience, and year-round utilisation. This will include race day planning, motorsports events, training activity, hospitality, memberships, partnerships, sponsorship, ancillary revenue, and non-event activation.

The role will work closely with internal development, strategy, finance, commercial, operational readiness, and destination teams, as well as third-party operators, race authorities, equestrian bodies, sponsors, advisors, and event partners. It requires someone who can challenge business plans, govern operator performance, interpret commercial data, protect owner interests, and make practical recommendations to senior leadership.

The mandate is commercial and strategic, with clear accountability for revenue growth, EBITDA, attendance, yield, asset utilisation, customer experience, safety, compliance, operator performance, and long-term value creation.

We are interested in candidates with senior experience across automotive, race tracks, sports venues, major events, hospitality-led destinations, leisure assets, or complex entertainment assets. Direct motor sport experience would be highly relevant, although the broader requirement is for someone who understands premium venue economics, operator governance, event-led revenue, and the customer journey around high-profile sporting assets.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• Senior leadership experience across venue operations, asset management, motorsports, leisure, entertainment, hospitality, or major events
• Strong commercial judgement, with experience reviewing budgets, forecasts, business plans, revenue strategy, and performance reporting
• Experience overseeing operators, service providers, promoters, sponsors, or commercial partners
• Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to operate within a complex, high-growth development environment
• Exposure to pre-opening, mobilisation, asset handover, operating model development, or major event readiness
• An understanding of premium hospitality, memberships, sponsorship, event programming, and guest experience
• This role would suit someone who wants to move beyond single-venue operations into an owner-side leadership position with genuine influence over asset strategy, performance, and long term value.
