Context

The Interface Manager will lead external stakeholder engagement and interface support for a major transportation infrastructure program in Riyadh. The role requires strong diplomatic judgment, public sector awareness, negotiation capability, and the ability to manage complex relationships that can affect project access, approvals, utilities, traffic management, land acquisition, and delivery schedules. By maintaining transparent communication and resolving stakeholder concerns early, the position helps protect project momentum, reduce delivery risk, and strengthen the public image of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, public authorities, industry partners, service providers, transport operators, and senior decision‑makers.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities that support project delivery, regulatory alignment, interface resolution, and client objectives.
  • Establish clear communication channels with external stakeholders, industry peers, and public sector representatives.
  • Facilitate coordination with government authorities on transportation policy matters, approvals, permits, access requirements, and project‑related decisions.
  • Manage critical interface issues between project infrastructure and existing utility networks, including power, water, telecommunications, drainage, and other service providers.
  • Support the client in promoting an integrated public transportation network through coordination with transport stakeholders, operators, and related authorities.
  • Coordinate with traffic authorities, public safety bodies, police, civil defense, and relevant agencies to support traffic management and safe project execution.
  • Assist with land acquisition coordination, stakeholder approvals, access planning, site constraints, and third‑party requirements that may affect project schedules.
  • Monitor emerging stakeholder concerns, political developments, regulatory changes, public sector priorities, and industry trends that may influence project strategy.
  • Support community engagement initiatives, public outreach activities, stakeholder briefings, and communication programs that improve project understanding.
  • Provide strategic stakeholder management advice to the client and project leadership team.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, coordination sessions, and issue‑resolution discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare stakeholder reports, engagement plans, interface updates, risk summaries, approval trackers, action logs, and management briefings.
  • Identify stakeholder‑related risks early and recommend practical mitigation strategies to protect project objectives.
  • Resolve conflicts between project teams, authorities, utility providers, landowners, public agencies, and community representatives.
  • Coordinate across technical, commercial, legal, construction, traffic, interface, and communications teams to support joined‑up stakeholder responses.
  • Maintain records of stakeholder commitments, approvals, correspondence, meeting outcomes, decisions, and follow‑up actions.
  • Promote transparency, professionalism, and trust in all stakeholder interactions.
Ideal Profile
  • Saudi National candidate required.
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience with a technical degree or higher.
  • Strong experience leading stakeholder engagement activities on large‑scale infrastructure, transportation, rail, metro, public sector, or urban development projects.
