The purpose of the Procurement Officer is to participate in all aspects of procurement and to save costs and supply the requirements of the business in the most convenient and conventional ways.

Areas of responsibility
  • Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
  • Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply.
  • Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality.
  • Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note the actual arrival time.
  • Organize and update the database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantities of supplies.
  • Analyze potential vendors and suppliers for future project needs.
  • Assists in monitoring legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to purchasing and procurement.
  • Ensure all deliveries containall the goods requested.
  • Collaborate with internal/External stakeholders on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  • Work as a team member with colleagues across the organization.
  • Maintain the stakeholder as the focus of all activities.
  • Work flexibly according to the needs of the organization.
  • Innovate systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintaining historical records.
  • Undertake additional duties as and when required by the line manager.
Safeguarding
  • The post holder will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow the school’s safeguarding policies and the staff code of conduct. They will directly support the designated safeguarding lead as a priority to ensure the safety and well-being of all students at the school.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or any related field (essential).
Experience
  • +2 years relevant experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Ability to Analyze Data.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English and Arabic with colleagues and external agencies.
  • Ability to work sensitively with people from other cultures.
  • Evidence of good organizational skills, including record-keeping.
  • Ability to develop and maintain critical relationships internally and externally.
  • Enthusiasm for working in an environment of positive change and development.
  • Ability to organize own workload and work to agreed deadlines.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • Proficiency in the use of IT, including management information packages.
