A results-driven Business Development Manager responsible for expanding outpatient rehabilitation services within LTC facilities. duties include identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, driving revenue through new referrals, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outpatient care. This role hinges on market insight, relationship building, and measurable outcomes.

Job Scope:

This role entails leading market analysis to identify demand for outpatient rehabilitation in long-term care settings, mapping key stakeholders, and creating go-to-market strategies. Responsibilities include developing and executing business development plans, securing new contracts with clinics and referral networks, and expanding service lines (e.g., physical, occupational, and speech therapies). The manager will collaborate with clinical leadership, operations, and marketing to ensure aligned service delivery, quality standards, and patient outcomes.

You will oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and performance metrics, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth. Regular travel to partner facilities and events is expected for relationship management and market presence. The position requires strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills, with a proven track record in healthcare business development, preferably within rehabilitation or outpatient settings.

Job Requirements:

Educations and Certificates:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, Physical/Occupational Therapy, or related field (master's preferred).
Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, sales, or market development, with a focus on rehabilitation or outpatient services.
  • Familiarity with outpatient rehab workflows, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Skills and Professional Knowledge:
  • Strong healthcare market insight and competitor analysis.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management (clinics, physicians, case managers, payers).
  • Excellent negotiation, pricing, and closing skills.
  • Strategic planning, project management, and execution with measurable results.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, data analysis, and reporting; comfortable with MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement landscape (Medicare/Medicaid, private pay, managed care) and payer policies.
  • Leadership presence with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Language: fluent in [local language]; additional languages a plus.

  • Facilitate patient flow optimization and coordination with clinical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and reimbursement changes affecting outpatient rehab.
  • Drive patient satisfaction and quality outcomes through partnership quality reviews.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive, performance-driven culture.
