We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Controller to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing cost control processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing valuable insights to support decision‑making across the organization.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor project expenses and overall financial performance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including budget versus actual comparisons and variance analyses.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for new projects.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and propose strategies to improve financial efficiency.
- Conduct regular financial audits to ensure compliance with company policies and Saudi Arabian financial regulations.
- Manage and mentor junior cost control staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in contract negotiations and financial risk assessments for new projects.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast project costs and profitability.
- Present financial data and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in cost control or related field, preferably in large‑scale projects or the construction industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong skills in financial modeling, cost analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent project management abilities and attention to detail.
- In‑depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Familiarity with construction or engineering project costing.
- Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Willingness to work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
