Chief Investment Officer

A leading diversified Saudi organization is seeking a highly experienced Chief Investment Officer to lead its long-term investment strategy, portfolio management, capital allocation, and investment governance.

This is a strategic executive leadership role requiring a senior investment professional with strong exposure to multi-asset portfolios, private equity, real estate, public markets, alternative investments, M&A, capital deployment, risk management, and board-level reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the organization’s long-term investment strategy, policies, and annual investment plan.
• Manage and grow a diversified investment portfolio across different asset classes such as equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend high-quality investment opportunities aligned with the organization’s objectives.
• Lead major investment decisions, including acquisitions, divestments, portfolio changes, and capital deployment.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure investments achieve approved return targets and financial objectives.
• Review financial models, valuations, due diligence reports, and investment proposals before submission to the Board.
• Establish strong investment governance, including approval processes, authority limits, risk controls, and reporting standards.
• Manage relationships with banks, fund managers, investment advisors, custodians, sovereign wealth funds, and strategic partners.
• Oversee capital allocation, liquidity planning, treasury activities, and reinvestment or distribution decisions.

Required Experience

• 15+ years of progressive experience in investment management, private equity, asset management, family office, sovereign wealth funds, investment banking, corporate development, or diversified holding organizations.
• Strong experience managing multi-asset investment portfolios.
• Proven track record in acquisitions, divestments, deal evaluation, valuation, due diligence, and portfolio performance management.
• Experience presenting investment strategy, portfolio performance, and recommendations to Boards, Chairmen, shareholders, or investment committees.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia and GCC investment landscape.
