Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst
Responsible for managing the assigned remedial portfolio clients non-performing loans which will include the bank’s larger and more complex exposures often multi-banked. Analyze all financial and other available information, such as Simah reports, and the legal documentation, in order to prepare a restructuring/action plan designed to maximise the bank’s recovery. Prepare high quality / comprehensive credit proposals. Represent the bank on creditor committees.
To share his long experience with the junior RMs to manage accounts and provide solutions, aiming to achieve goals, while maintaining credit quality and minimizing risk. The position requires strong client relationship management and analytical skills, together with experience of managing difficult borrowers.
Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the unit in order to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedure.
Credit ApprovalPrepare and ensure quality and completeness of all CAs before sending it to Credit for CA Review.
Collaborates with the Credit Analytics Unit and Risk Management on an ongoing basis in order to constantly secure and enhance the quality of the credit portfolio.
Assessment of Client Portfolio StatusParticipates in the assessment of the Bank’s corporate portfolio, analysing the information and reports provided from corporate operation, so as to evaluate the status of the provided corporate loans and to identify the loans that fall into remedial portfolio.
Develops projections of remedial portfolio, so as to support the accurate evaluation of portfolio’s status and health and the loans that might be under remedial.
Development of ProvisionsDetermine the quality of the portfolio clients’ problems and recommending the required level of provisions.
Relationship Management / Management of Non-Performing LoansMaintains thorough understanding of customer’s organization, industry and global practices to maintain proximity to the clients and be aware of their financial progress aiming to avoid any unexpected deterioration.
Builds a strong relationship with customers and the other lenders to ensure the success of the suggested restructuring plan.
Handles the relationship management of the assigned remedial clients and analyses all relevant data, i.e. financial, business strategy, market trends, so as to better determine the nature of the challenges they are facing.
Communicates and shares all available information regarding the remedial client status and prepares credit proposals that will assist the client to overcome its financial issues and meet Bank’s claims and requests.
Develops feasibility studies for the assigned clients to evaluate their current status and propose the implementation of initiatives and payment settlements that will assist clients to overcome their financial difficulties and comply with their obligations towards the Bank.
Cooperates with all relevant parties, i.e., Corporate Banking, Collections, Legal, for the effective management of clients with non-performing loans and the collection of debts and bank’s claims resorting to legal measures when necessary.
Follows-up the accurate implementation of the proposed payment settlements and corrective initiatives so as to evaluate their efficiency.
Proposes improvements and modifications in the settlement and management of the remedial portfolio, so as to improve their efficiency and enhance the protection of Bank’s interests.
ReportingAssists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Riyad Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.

Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or any other relevant field
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in both corporate and credit fields, with a minimum of 4 years in remedial or Special Assets function.
