Join our agile Middle East team as a Project Accountant
, based in Riyadh and supporting projects across the region.
As the finance partner for a portfolio within our Defence & Security division, you’ll own project financials end‑to‑end—working side‑by‑side with Project Managers, joining project review meetings, and providing clear insight on financial performance, risks, and the impact of key decisions.
Responsibilities- Lead the monthly forecasting cycle for Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet, partnering closely with Project Managers during the Project Review Cycle (PRC).
- Monitor project financial performance and take proactive action to maximise gross margin and cash flow.
- Own and continuously improve cost accounting, working closely with cost centre owners.
- Support preparation of the annual budget, monthly management accounts, and statutory accounts for the company.
- Own reconciliations across accounting ledgers, ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date data that is readily accessible.
- Contribute to business planning and investment risk evaluation.
- Support pricing and costing activities for new opportunities and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Build scenarios and cash‑flow analyses (including U /UER) and support CCO and FBS during project set‑up/creation.
- Prepare ad hoc financial forecasts, models, and decision‑support analysis as needed.
- Ensure IFRS is applied appropriately, including IFRS 15.
- Coordinate and support all internal and external audit requirements.
- Take on other related duties as required to support the team and business.
- Must be a KSA national
; sponsorship is not offered for this role. - University degree in accounting or finance, or a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CMA, CA, CGA, ACCA).
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis, including financial reporting and performance analysis.
- Experience reconciling intercompany balances and transactions.
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Practical experience applying IFRS, including IFRS 15.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of local Government Price Law.
- Familiarity with Hyperion Enterprise and Oracle systems.
