Role & Responsibilities

Uniqus is seeking a driven Assistant Manager with a Financial Services background to join our ARC team. The role involves delivering high‑impact advisory services to clients in the banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech sectors, with a focus on complex IFRS matters, regulatory reporting, and transaction accounting.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on high‑profile FS clients and complex financial reporting engagements in a fast‑paced and dynamic market.

Responsibilities
  • Support and manage ARC projects for FS clients, including IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 implementations and advisory.
  • Financial instruments accounting (valuation, classification, impairment).
  • Preparation and review of financial statements under IFRS.
  • Finance transformation and process optimization.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and prepare client deliverables, including technical memos and position papers.
  • Work closely with FS clients to assess their accounting and financial reporting processes and provide tailored solutions.
  • Support Managers and Partners in project planning, execution, and client management.
  • Supervise and coach junior team members, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Assist in business development efforts, proposals, and client presentations.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is required.
  • 4–7 years of experience in accounting advisory with a minimum of 2–3 years working with FS clients (banks, insurers, investment firms).
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, especially standards relevant to financial instruments and insurance contracts.
  • Experience in the wider GCC financial services market is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Fluent in English;
    Arabic is an advantage.
