Senior, Financial Accounting Advisory Services
In Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) within Assurance, we assist clients with accounting and financial reporting challenges. You will work on projects across the entire deal cycle including Mergers & Acquisitions, Carve‑outs, and Capital Market transactions.
The OpportunityOur FAAS practice is a fast‑growing area of our business. We are recruiting a Senior to support large‑scale projects across multiple industries.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong internal and external networks.
- Report directly to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners during planning, execution, and wrap‑up of FAAS engagements.
- Provide advisory services on transactional accounting and reporting for M&A, divestitures, and financial carve‑outs, including establishing standalone finance functions, IPO readiness, and equity/debt offerings.
- Ensure high‑quality, timely work that complies with EY policies.
- Collaborate with other EY locations, service lines, and specialists to deliver a fully integrated service offering.
- Monitor engagement economics against key financial metrics and manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments, and performance drivers to clients.
- Consult on complex accounting and reporting issues, ensuring work products meet client needs, are clear, accurate, and well‑presented.
- Deliver effective execution of the FAAS service delivery framework and support major transactions with strategic insights and financial advisory expertise.
Proactivity, accountability, and results‑driven mindset. Strong communication, team collaboration, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting client objectives.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting.
- Minimum three years of experience as an auditor/consultant or technical resource for a public accounting firm.
- CPA/CA/ACCA certification.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, including strong IFRS skills.
- Solid teamwork and communication skills (verbal and written in English).
- Research skills on client inquiries and emerging issues such as IFRS, public company regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice.
- Desire to develop technical and leadership attributes of team members.
- Master’s or MBA qualification.
- Track record with a leading audit firm.
- Proficiency in Arabic.
- Sector experience in Construction, Energy, Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, or Healthcare.
