• Follow all relevant financial/accounting procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs to ensure continuity of work.
• Provide assistance in processing ledger and booking entries according to approved procedures so that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
• Carry out filing of all financial documents and information in a way that allows ease of retrieval of information and reports.
• Process all transactions according to defined legislation and guidelines so that the company fulfils all accounting policy objectives and obligations.
• Provide assistance in the collection of data needed for basic accounting exercises and projects within set terms of reference and defined processes and assist senior colleagues in the preparation of standard internal and external financial reports.
• Maintain a clear understanding and awareness of the company’s accounting policies, procedures, and practices in order to perform job responsibilities effectively.

Education

• Diploma in Accounting or Finance.

• On-the-job training.
