On behalf of the client, we are looking for a financial manager to join their company in Riyadh.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Leading strategic financial planning, preparing estimated budgets, monitoring implementation, analyzing deviations and taking corrective actions.
- Full supervision of all financial management functions including accounting, reporting, treasury, zakat and taxes.
- Evaluate merger and acquisition opportunities and conduct financial due diligence.
- Supervising the preparation of annual and periodic financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards adopted in the Kingdom and ensuring compliance with Saudi Organization for Auditors and Accountants, Capital Market Authority disclosure and transparency requirements, and coordinating with the external auditor to approve the financial statements.
- Strengthening financial governance and internal control system, managing financial risks, and supporting internal audit work by providing necessary reports and analyses.
- Periodic review and development of financial policies, procedures, regulations and internal control systems to ensure they are up-to-date and in line with best practices and control standards.
- Supervising the design and development of the organizational structure of the financial department to ensure efficient task distribution and clear determination of powers to prevent conflicts of interest.
- Managing liquidity and cash flows, planning for financing needs, and supervising loans, banking facilities and investments.
- Leading the negotiation processes for financing agreements of all kinds, preparing and reviewing terms in coordination with legal department, following up on contractual obligations, analyzing financing cost and restructuring when needed, and managing relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Supervising zakat and tax obligations, dealing with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, managing related examinations and objections, and developing zakat and tax planning strategies.
- Preparing financial analyses, indicators and future forecasts in accordance with international frameworks and models, evaluating economic feasibility of projects, and supporting investment and expansion decisions.
- Developing and managing the financial management team and key performance indicators (KPIs), setting targets, monitoring performance, submitting periodic reports to executive management and board of directors, and promoting a professional work environment based on efficiency and transparency.
Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in the financial field, including at least 3 years in a leadership position as financial manager or deputy financial manager.
- Experience in publicly listed companies or environments subject to high governance and compliance requirements.
- Full knowledge of IFRS & IAS and the standards adopted by the Saudi Organization for Auditors and Accountants and the regulations of the Saudi Capital Market Authority to ensure full compliance and to follow updates to corporate governance regulations.
- Experience in managing financing, banking facilities and financing agreements of all types.
- Experience in financial planning, preparing financial statements, and advanced financial analysis.
- Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies and internal and external auditors.
- Academic qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration; an MBA is preferred. - Professional certifications:
Obtaining one or more internationally or locally accredited certifications including but not limited to ACCA, SOCPA fellowship, CPA, CFA.
- High leadership and strategic capabilities with decision-making skills.
- Advanced ability in financial analysis, preparing strategic reports and financial models, identifying financial gaps and operational risks, and creating effective strategies to reduce their effects and maximize profitability.
- Effective communication skills with senior management, board of directors and investors.
- Strong negotiation skills, especially in finance and contracts.
- Ability to manage risks and work under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation and financial systems and modern technologies to automate financial processes.
- Ability to negotiate and communicate, and manage professional conflicts positively to reach solutions serving the company’s interests.
- The ability to conduct high-level dialogues clearly and tactfully and simplify specialized financial information for non-financial professionals to ensure alignment with financial trends.
- Possessing a high degree of flexibility in adapting to sudden economic and regulatory changes.
- Positivity, teamwork and alignment with the company’s work system supporting best practices and solutions and achieving set goals.
