Overview
Financial Operations & Accounting:
Manage all VAT obligations including registration, periodic filings, reconciliations, and payments to ZATCA on time. Handle Withholding Tax (WHT) calculations and filings for all applicable payments to non-residents. Monitor changes in Saudi tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on EWCF operations. Act as the primary contact for ZATCA audits, inquiries, and correspondence. Manage e-invoicing compliance (FATOORAH Phase
2) and ensure systems are aligned with ZATCA requirements.
- Support the Accounting Manager in day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, accruals) from a compliance and controls perspective.
- Review accounting entries and postings to ensure tax treatment is correctly applied (e.g., VAT, WHT).
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring tax-related accruals and provisions are accurately captured.
- Provide guidance on the tax implications of transactions and flag compliance risks to the Accounting Manager and Director Finance.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager, Treasury, FP&A, and Procurement to ensure data consistency and tax integrity.
- Prepare and review financial reports, tax schedules, reconciliations, and statutory submissions; ensure adherence to financial controls, approval matrices, and delegations of authority.
- Identify and remediates control gaps related to both finance operations and tax exposure; support preparation of management reporting and board-level financial summaries.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance and tax processes and ERP reporting systems; support and guide junior finance team members in daily operations and tax compliance tasks.
- Act as a finance and tax point of contact for operational stakeholders across business units; escalate risks, issues, or deviations to the Director Finance promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements including ZATCA, Ministry of Finance, and SAMA guidelines as applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date finance and tax documentation, procedures, and audit trails.
- Proactively identify tax risks and escalate material issues to the Director Finance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and legal counsel on complex tax matters and disputes.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or related field; 6+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, and/or tax. Minimum 3 years of hands-on Saudi tax experience (VAT, WHT). Prior experience dealing directly with ZATCA.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong understanding of Saudi tax regulations (VAT, WHT, e-Invoicing / FATOORAH).
- Deep knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Practical experience with ERP / financial systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with ZATCA online portals, e-filing platforms, and e-invoicing systems.
- High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Analytical ability to assess tax risk and articulate implications clearly to management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across business teams.
- Fluency in English & Arabic required (bilingual proficiency essential for ZATCA correspondence).
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) strongly preferred.
- Tax-specific certification (e.g., ZATCA Accredited Tax Agent, CTA) is a significant advantage.
