Murex Consultant – Treasury & Capital Markets

12-month initial contract – with extensions. Banking / Financial Services / Consulting.

I'm recruiting for a Murex Consultant to join my client, a Big 4, and play a key role in delivering impactful treasury and capital markets transformation projects.

This role requires deep technical expertise in Murex MX.3, combined with strong consulting, stakeholder management, and financial product knowledge.

• Lead or support the delivery of Murex MX.3 solutions for clients in the financial services sector.
• Act as a subject matter expert across a wide range of treasury products including Derivatives, Fixed Income, Structured Deposits, and more.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment with senior stakeholders across business and IT.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on in-depth system and market knowledge.
• Navigate complex discussions with a sound, practical approach to issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on time and to high quality standards.

• Proven hands‑on experience with Murex MX.3 in a treasury or trading environment.
• Project management and consulting experience within financial services.
• Strong understanding of banking and financial markets, either from direct industry experience or via consulting engagements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to influence, challenge, and build trust with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emerging issues.
• Ability to manage and navigate high‑level conversations with senior executives and decision‑makers.
