Overview
We are looking for an energetic professional to be an Investment Strategist in the SSIM Investment Solutions Group (ISG). Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Investment Strategist will serve in an investment advisory capacity in support of our multi‑asset class business in the Kingdom and region (MENA).
Responsibilities- Work directly with clients and prospects as a strategic advisor formulating their overall asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk framework, governance structure and client‑specific Investment Policy statements as part of broad multi‑asset mandates.
- Collaborate with our broader ISG team, notably our Manager Research team who provide manager recommendations and oversight (in public and private markets), and our portfolio management team responsible for trading client portfolios.
- Interface with institutional and intermediary organizations.
- Partner with our dedicated client relationship managers and interface regularly with client investment committees, boards, and staff, and be a key contributor to investment portfolio and performance reviews.
- Report to the managing director, Head of OCIO Investment Strategy – Investment Solutions Group.
- Support and help drive new business activity as a subject‑matter expert, collaborating with the business development team.
- 7‑10 years of industry experience.
- Experience delivering holistic investment advice and solutions in a multi‑asset framework with an institutional asset manager, OCIO, investment consultancy, wealth advisor, or asset owner.
- CFA/CAIA preferred.
- Familiarity with the needs of various asset owners, official institutions, sovereign wealth funds, endowment & foundations, pensions, financial institutions and wealth advisors in the region.
- Knowledge of global capital markets, multi‑class asset solutions, and supporting asset allocation modeling.
- Experience setting investment strategy to meet risk/return objectives, liabilities or spending requirements and client‑specific return objectives in an advisory/consultative capacity.
- Local insights on asset‑owner governance and regulatory considerations, notably shari’ah compliance.
- Build positive relationships in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated individual with intellectual curiosity, high energy level, strong work ethic and demonstrated personal and professional integrity.
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation with ability to effectively communicate recommendations to investment committees, boards and influence outcomes.
- Highly organized, meets deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
- Appreciation of the importance of risk excellence when representing a global financial services firm.
- Maintain the highest possible fiduciary standards and ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements.
