We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial function and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring strong governance and compliance, optimizing capital allocation, and driving sustainable growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial leadership roles within complex organizations, preferably across retail, real estate, financial services, or diversified business environments. This role requires a forward-thinking executive with exceptional analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence strategic decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee to develop and execute the organization's long-term strategic objectives.
  • Provide financial insight and recommendations to support major business decisions, investments, mergers and acquisitions, and expansion initiatives.
  • Lead enterprise-wide financial planning processes aligned with corporate priorities and growth targets.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, taxation, and financial controls.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and presentation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and strategic plans, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Treasury & Capital Management
  • Optimize the organization's capital structure and liquidity position.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead funding initiatives and evaluate financing alternatives to support business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal control frameworks and financial governance practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Business Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to improve operational efficiency and enhance profitability.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Drive a culture of accountability through the implementation of meaningful performance metrics and financial discipline.
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional excellence within the finance function.
  • Build organizational capability to support future growth and transformation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance experience
    , including at least 5 years in a senior executive finance leadership role
    .
  • Demonstrated experience within retail, real estate, financial services, or diversified group structures is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in financial planning and analysis, treasury management, strategic finance, and business transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading external audits, banking relationships, and complex financial projects.
