About the role
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh, the Director of Finance is responsible for supervising the Finance and Purchasing Department, establishing and maintaining internal control systems over income, expenditure, assets and liabilities, and managing the hotel budget and forecast process.
Responsibilities- Supervise all members of the Finance & Purchasing Department and determine optimum control objectives.
- Install and maintain internal control systems over income, expenditure, assets and liabilities in line with group policy and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Participate in finance meetings with Corporate MOHG finance and hotel owners.
- Hold monthly meetings with colleagues to provide a forum for concerns and share departmental and hotel information.
- Prioritise and document the career path and development needs of colleagues according to the MO Profile online system.
- Safeguard stored information and avoid disclosing personal data concerning guests, customers or colleagues without appropriate authority.
- Directly manage the development, implementation, maintenance and administration of financial controls and accounting procedures based on internal control techniques and local legal requirements.
- Play an active role in hotel management, responding to the needs of the General Manager and other hotel management team members.
- Identify and regularly review the classification levels of all information within the department.
- Ensure information security equipment and assets under your control are secured to guarantee confidentiality, integrity and availability.
- Authorize user access to information and remove access when no longer required.
- Communicate access control requirements to Information Security management and the information users.
- Monitor Information Policy compliance within your scope of authority.
- Detect and report information security incidents to the Information Security Officer and respond to any incidents that are reported.
- Safeguard the security of the company's information and computing assets in accordance with the implemented Information Security Policy.
- Ensure that adequate controls are installed and maintained for the protection of hotel assets against loss or misappropriation.
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage is maintained to protect hotel assets as required by the hotel’s management contract.
- Assume full responsibility for the proper control of all cash funds and other assets for subordinates.
