Senior Finance Assistant, Studios

To provide accounting assistance to the Production Team – dealing with all matters that arise during the course of production and to provide regular final cost and projection information to the Production Executive and Head of Production.

• Ensure vendor invoices are properly coded and authorised for payment.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable on all payable issues and vendor enquiries.
• Manage and reconcile Production pre‑paid cards, ensuring proper controls over these expenses.
• Manage and reconcile expenditure incurred on Production credit cards.
• Handle T&A expenses for all relevant staff using the Concur system.
• Assist Production Managers with monthly actual cost reporting against budget, analysing and explaining budget vs. actual variances.
• Proactively analyse production spend and revenue and report potential under‑ or overspends.
• Address any other ad‑hoc production‑related finance matters as required.
• Liaise with accounting staff in other departments on all of the above.

This is a sleeves‑up role for someone who enjoys getting fully involved in a role and working as part of a busy team; must be flexible, adaptable, prepared to work irregular hours and occasionally outside normal times.

• Up‑to‑date cost trackers.
• Understanding of client project spend.
• Timely reconciliation of expenses.
• Timely invoice processing.

• Numerate and able to organise multiple tasks, determining priorities.
• Work autonomously, with initiative to address problems or refer to supervisors.
• Interest in television production and desire to pursue a career in the industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong numeracy skills.
• Previous experience in an accounting/finance environment.
• Studying for a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., SOCPA licence training).
• University degree or equivalent in an accounting‑related subject.

• Knowledge of the SAP accounting system.
• Knowledge of the television programme production business.
• Interest in sport.
