Strategic Real Estate Investment Leader

To play a strategic role in leading and managing the real estate investment function at AIC by overseeing the evaluation, structuring, and execution of investment opportunities in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. The role is responsible for driving high-impact portfolio and transactions management, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring the financial and operational performance of the real estate portfolio. Working with the Real Estate Investment leadership, the Director will play a key role in shaping portfolio strategy, optimizing investment portfolio, and managing the end-to-end investment lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of real estate investment strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
• Monitor overall portfolio activity, performance and evolution and track performance and recommend strategic initiatives to align with long term objectives and plans
• Oversee the evaluation of assets monetization and investment opportunities, including JV and Funds formation models, financial modeling, feasibility and market studies.
• Lead the preparation of materials for internal reporting and approvals, including investment screening and investment memos and presentations for investment committees, boars and senior leadership.
• Review and validate financial forecasts, business plans, and studies.
• Guide deal structuring and negotiations to ensure alignment with financial, legal, and strategic requirements.
• Identify, assess, and recommend joint venture, development, and strategic partnership opportunities.
• Lead and manage due diligence processes across financial, legal, and operational areas for new investments and projects and assure quality deliverables and full alignment with strategic investment objectives and due diligence plans and program
• Evaluate and recommend optimal partnership structures and commercial terms based on market intelligence, benchmarking and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, Development) to ensure smooth execution and risk mitigation.
• Work with project teams to monitor development execution in line with budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Support portfolio optimization efforts, including repositioning and exit strategies.
• Represent the team in investment committees and governance forums for updates and approvals.
• Lead and mentor the Real Estate Investment team, ensuring high performance and continues development.
• Report to the Managing Director with key insights, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.

Qualification & Requirements:

• Graduate degree from a reputable institution in economics, finance, accounting or similar discipline.
• Local real estate experience in a reputable investment company, family offices, or fund manager, or specialized multinational real estate advisory firm.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving business results.
• 8–10 years of experience with working knowledge of real estate investment and management
• Experience in transactions involving the establishment of private funds, joint ventures, or investment platforms.
• Experience in M&A and transaction management is a plus.
• Experience in the different real estate asset classes such as commercial offices, retail, hospitality, logistics…etc.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex investment strategies to senior leadership.
• Ability to comprehend, synthesize, evaluate and clearly communicate real estate financial models, concepts and solutions
