The organisation plays a significant role in driving long-term investment performance through a highly sophisticated global investment platform.

About Role:

As part of its continued growth within International Investments, the organisation is seeking to appoint a Equities Trading professional. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded international trading platform and report directly to the Head of Trading, supporting the execution of international public market investments whilst providing market intelligence, broker connectivity and insight into global equity market developments.

Key Requirements:

• Execute international public equity trades in accordance with approved investment mandates and investment policies.
• Monitor market conditions, liquidity dynamics, investor sentiment and positioning across global markets to support optimal execution outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with global sell-side brokers, trading counter parties and market participants.
• Provide timely market colour, flow intelligence and investor sentiment updates to investment teams and senior stakeholders.
• Produce concise written market commentary, market updates and thematic observations for internal distribution.
• Partner closely with investment teams to support investment implementation, idea generation and market-related discussions.
• Identify, structure and execute large and complex transactions across global equity markets whilst ensuring best execution outcomes and minimising market impact.

Qualifications:

• 6-12 years of experience in equities trading, sales trading or related public markets functions
• Experience gained within leading international investment banks or at an institutional investor such as asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds
• Demonstrated expertise executing trades across international markets, with strong knowledge of global market structure and execution strategies
• Proven ability to develop relationships across the global investment banking and trading community
• Demonstrated ability to communicate market developments effectively, both verbally and in writing, to investment professionals and senior stakeholders
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with portfolio managers, institutional investors, brokers and other market participants
• Strong understanding of best execution principles, transaction cost analysis, trade lifecycle management and settlement processes
