Director Research and Analysis KSA

We are working with a global bank in KSA that is expanding its team and looking to hire a Director – Research & Analysis to lead high-impact research and insights across emerging markets.

• Responsible for leading country risk and sector analysis across emerging markets, with a key focus on the MENA region
• Developing and managing a comprehensive country risk framework covering sovereign, political, regulatory, and macroeconomic factors
• Conducting in-depth analysis of financial systems, including banking sectors and capital markets, to support overall country risk evaluations
• Providing strategic insights into sector-focused portfolio allocation and risk management decisions
• Assessing sector-specific risks, including commodity price volatility, regulatory developments, supply chain disruptions, and government intervention
• Partnering with Front Office, Credit, and Risk Management teams to identify priority markets and sectors for business growth opportunities
• Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators, industry specialists, and multilateral organizations

• Strong experience in country risk analysis and sector research across emerging markets
• In-depth knowledge of sectors including energy, infrastructure, industrials, and financial services
• Background in project finance, structured finance, or sector-specific credit analysis would be an advantage
• Good understanding of MENA markets and key sector trends, particularly within oil & gas and sovereign-backed projects
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of experience working as a professional economist within financial institutions, the public sector, or research organizations
