General Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all payments (vendor, payroll, refunds).
- Oversee tuition fee collections, reconciliation, and bank deposits in compliance with internal policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain petty cash and school/ Collages accounts.
- Support the Finance Controller in treasury-related projects (e.g., banking system upgrades, fee automation).
- Prepare short-term monthly/ quarterly cash flow forecasts.
- Contribute to the annual cash budget and liquidity plan.
- Plan for major cash outflows (e.g., construction, IT upgrades, bulk procurement).
- Execute daily bank transactions and fund transfers.
- Monitor student fee collections and follow up on overdue payments with the finance team.
- Handle bank mandate updates, account openings/closures.
- Ensure proper documentation for all treasury transactions.
- Cash flow forecasting & liquidity management
- Excel (advanced) and ERP treasury modules (e.g.Odoo, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Knowledge of collection systems (e.g., fee portals, direct debits etc)
- Understanding of internal controls and treasury policies.
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- Strong communication with academic and administrative staff
- Ability to work under month-end and peak collection periods (e.g., registration season
- BS in finance / Accounting
- Professional certification (e.g. CMA, or partially qualified ACCA/CPA) – a plus
- 3-4 Years of experience
- Education sector (higher education, schools, or educational services) – strongly preferred alternatively, experience in non-profit or service-oriented sectors.
