Overview Of

The Role

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for performing the monthly closure of accounts in line with Group policies, implementing best practice reporting and controls, and serving as a key finance partner to the business. The purpose of the role is to optimize logistics costs and enable financing solutions to drive profitable growth. This position supports business management with insights, trend analysis, and actionable recommendations, while maintaining strong control and compliance frameworks.

Success in this role is measured by the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, cost savings achieved, effective cash flow management, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role requires collaboration with both local and group-level financial teams.

What You Will Do
  • Manage the end-to-end monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate transaction recording, timely review of provisions, and full compliance with Group Accounting Policies.
  • Contribute to the development of business management through monthly reviews and recommendation of improvement initiatives.
  • Support business performance management through monthly financial reviews, providing insights, trend analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor costs, identify savings opportunities, and implement efficiency initiatives without impacting business operations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to challenge spend, improve cost discipline, and support informed decision-making.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by incorporating cost optimization assumptions and initiatives.
  • Conduct order study for optimal ordering.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inventory, and petty cash activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.
  • Manage cash flow through effective control of receivables, payables, and inventory cycles.
  • Liaise with Group functions and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group policies, governance requirements, and smooth business operations.
  • Manage intercompany funding arrangements, ensuring accurate accounting, timely settlements, and compliance with Group Treasury guidelines.
  • Coordinate funding requirements with Group Treasury, supporting cash flow planning and liquidity management.
  • Partner with the business to structure and formalize customer financing solutions, including review and approval of Letters of Credit (LCs) and Bank Guarantees (BGs).
  • Support the BU Finance Controller in principal financing arrangements and negotiations with banks and financial institutions.
  • Assist in the issuance, amendment, and management of LCs, ensuring appropriate risk assessment, documentation, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and other statutory laws.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously enhance internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, delegated authorities, and Group governance standards.
  • Perform periodic reviews and testing of key financial and operational controls, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
  • Promote a strong control and compliance culture through guidance, training, and collaboration with business teams.
