Livestock Specialist – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the health and wellbeing of our livestock, ensuring high productivity and profitability.

• Conduct regular health checks on the livestock and provide necessary treatments or vaccinations
• Monitor feed and water intake of the livestock and make adjustments as needed
• Ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness in the animal housing areas
• Maintain accurate records of all livestock activities, including births, deaths, and production levels
• Supervise breeding programs to ensure successful reproduction and genetic diversity
• Oversee the selection and purchase of new livestock, taking into consideration breed standards and market demands
• Implement measures to prevent diseases and control pests within the herd or flock
• Train and supervise other staff members on proper handling and care techniques for the livestock

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Livestock Specialist or similar role
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field preferred
• Extensive knowledge of animal husbandry practices, including nutrition, breeding, health management, and waste management
• Ability to handle large animals with care and confidence
• Good physical stamina to work long hours in varying weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)

• Salary: $1400 per month
