Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Reviews exam orders/requisitions, reviews corresponding protocol, and asks questions of superior(s) and prepares for exams as needed. Selects proper equipment depending upon depth of field, organ, and area of interest.
- Performs scanning procedures with attention to patient care, quality imaging, and efficient management of time. Communicates with the Ultrasound Services (US) Radiologist to ensure that all images are satisfactory.
- Explains procedure to patient. Instructs patient regarding contrast medical and medicine, and required positions and assists patient in assuming position.
- Archives images and submits all images and pertinent data for subsequent use.
- Informs supervisor or section head of equipment malfunction and/or need for repairs. Calibrates equipment and performs routine maintenance and documents this accordingly.
- Cleans and sanitizes the used equipment after finish with every patient.
- Complies with the section policies, procedures and protocols. Follow the section quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA and other accreditation agencies standards.
- Complies with the Radiation Safety Rules and Regulations of the Hospital in accordance with KACST and K.A. CARE and other National or International Regulatory bodies.
- Apply ALARA principle Role within the section practice for all procedures.
- Follows all Hospital’s related policies and procedures.
- Participates in self and others’ education, training, and development, as applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Science/ Technology is required.
Experience: Two years of Experience is preferred.
Current Registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
