Position: Audiologist – Building 20

The Talent Acquisition Team at Building No. 20, a secondary care hospital that is proudly part of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC), is delighted to announce a range of exciting new opportunities at our Riyadh facility.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Performs routine audiometric evaluations, which include pure tone, speech, tympanometry, and impedance testing. Involves in evaluating cochlear implant patients’ candidacy and cochlear implant patients’ rehabilitation.
  • Makes necessary recommendations and referrals for patients and provides appropriate counselling to the patients and their families.
  • Writes all appropriate reports for sessions and forwards them to all necessary participants.
  • Performs hearing aid evaluations and follow ups to include hearing aid selection, programming, electroacoustic evaluation of the device, and functional gain measurements.
  • Assists and participates in additional audiometric evaluations to include electro/Video nystagmography (ENG/VNG), auditory brainstem evoked response (A ), and other auditory evoked potentials.
  • Participates in hearing assessments for neonates as part of the Neonatal Hearing Screening Program in the Hospital.
  • Performs assessments of occupational hearing loss as related to professional compensation.
  • Works in coordination with the university students fulfilling their practicum requirements.
  • Assists in the administration and coordination of the Audiology section that forms part of the ENT section. These responsibilities include all phases of the professional and business operations that are required to provide appropriate care for the hearing impaired patients.
  • Supervises and trains recent university graduates in Audiology completing the one year, full time internship as part of the Saudi Career Development Program (SCDP) in the hospital.
  • Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
  • Participates in self and others’ education, training, and development, as applicable.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Master’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Audiology is required.

Experience: Four years of Experience is preferred.

Other Requirements/Certifications

Current Registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
