Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in histology and excellent technical skills. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for microscopic examination by a pathologist. You will work closely with our team of pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tissue samples for processing, including embedding, sectioning, and staining
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and precision of results
- Keep accurate records of all samples and procedures performed
- Prepare and maintain laboratory solutions and reagents
- Troubleshoot technical issues and make recommendations for improvements
- Comply with all safety and quality assurance protocols
- Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely delivery of results
- Participate in training and development programs to stay current with new techniques and procedures in the field of histology
- Bachelor's degree in Histology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a histology laboratory setting
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of histology procedures and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Proficient in using computer software for data entry and analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates
