Education/QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Qualifications:
- Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand is a must.
- Minimum Two (2) years of clinical experience post qualification
- Minimum One (1) year in the pediatric department
Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform age appropriate physical and psychosocial assessments.
- Monitor vital signs and recognize early signs of pediatric deterioration.
- Provide care for common pediatric medical and surgical conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments safely within the scope of the Registered Nurse license.
- Manage pediatric patients requiring oxygen therapy, nebulization, enteral feeding, or wound care when applicable.
- Support fluid balance monitoring and pain management.
- Recognize and respond promptly to pediatric emergencies.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and allied health professionals.
- Provide education to parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, medications, nutrition, and home care instructions.
- Support immunization compliance and preventive health education when applicable.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention and child safety standards.
- Participate in emergency response and code situations.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving pediatric outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with families.
- Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and commitment to ongoing pediatric competency development.
