- Conduct psychological testing and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and more.
- Interpret results and provide appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual or group therapy sessions for patients experiencing mental health issues, trauma, or emotional challenges.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, psychoanalysis, family therapy, etc.).
- Offer crisis intervention services when necessary.
- Offer consultation to other healthcare professionals such as psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic treatment plans.
- Help patients manage emotional and mental challenges through coping strategies and positive behavior change.
- Support patients and families in understanding mental health issues and promoting mental well-being.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in psychological theories, techniques, and research.
- May be involved in research studies to enhance psychological practices and public health strategies.
- Educate patients, families, and organizations on mental health issues.
- Conduct workshops or seminars on stress management, mental wellness, and psychological support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Write progress notes, treatment plans, and other documentation as required by regulations.
- Implements policies and procedures to achieve hospital’s goals and objectives in pursuit of Standards of Care, Quality/Performance Improvement.
- Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families to better understand and participate in their care and make well informed care decisions.
- Performs any other duties within his range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Psychiatrist or / and Head of Department.
- 2–5 years of experience in a clinical, counseling, or educational setting is required.
- Experience with specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, adults, or those with disabilities) is required.
- Bachelor of Psychology / Teaching Psychology from a recognized accredited institution.
- Specialized Certifications or training in clinical psychology, counseling, or equivalent in the specialty
- SCFHS in Psychology as Specialist
- Well trained on psychometric test and psychotherapy
- Ability to speak in both Arabic & English
- Knowledge in Computer Application
