Ambulatory Care Representative

Receives, registers and confirms patient’s visit. Processes all paperwork and issues the appointment requested for the patients in one location.

• Receives and greets patients, employees or visitors as they arrived in the clinic.
• Registers and confirms patient’s visit using computer system, and takes necessary action for patient’s check-in.
• Obtains necessary information, determines and directs the concerns of caller to appropriate areas.
• Receives walk-in patients and takes necessary action for them.
• Retrieves patient information from the system as necessary.
• Coordinates medication refill, appointments, and orders charts.
• Receives the appointment request from patient or through the Queue and confirm the appointment.
• Coordinates with other Hospital staff while booking appointment to make sure the patient’s appointments are close to each other, such as X-ray or endoscopy, etc.
• Answers patients’ and their families’ inquiries, provides any assistance and directs them to any other services they ask for, i.e, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Social Services, etc.
• Participates in the orientation of new employees as required.
• Follows all Hospital related Policies and Procedures.
• Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s, or Associate Degree/Diploma in Hospital Administration, or other related discipline is required.

One (1) year of related experience with Bachelor's, or three (3) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
