Position: Pharmacist KSA at Axios International

Pharmacist – Riyadh, KSA

Full‑time on‑site position at Axios International. The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the community setting that assists patients to achieve optimum health.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve operational excellence, minimize product loss and ensure staff safety within the company distribution processes.
  • Ensure medications are stored in the correct manner and track all necessary licenses, keeping them updated as per governmental requirements.
  • Serve patients by preparing medications, providing pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and monitoring patient drug therapies.
  • Review and interpret physician orders, detect therapeutic incompatibilities, and prepare medications accordingly.
  • Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
  • Control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions.
  • Organize and direct technicians’ workflow; verify preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, order entries, charges, and inspections.
  • Answer questions from health‑care professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies.
  • Develop staff pharmacological knowledge through training programs for pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and other health‑care professionals.
  • Comply with local and international laws regulated by the MOH.
  • Maintain records for controlled substances and remove outdated or damaged drugs from the inventory.
  • Supervise support personnel and manage their work results.
  • Maintain current registration, study existing and new legislation, anticipate changes, and advise management on needed actions.
  • Adhere to infection‑control protocols to protect patients and technicians.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure correct brand category and product layout is in place.
  • Handle cash, credit, and insurance sales and daily reconciliations.
  • Maintain retail operational checklists.
  • Follow all purchasing, ordering, receiving, and transferring SOPs within the pharmacy.
  • Complete replenishment of inventory and minimize expiry through effective stock purchasing.
  • Manage and minimize regulatory risk related to stock recording and labeling under KSA regulations.
Organizational Responsibilities
  • Reflect and interpret the vision, mission, and core values in own work with enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Act in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain respectful, cooperative working relationships to contribute to integrated, seamless delivery of services to patients, families, and clients.
  • Understand role and responsibility in maintaining a safe workplace and reducing workplace injuries.
  • Work closely with Axios staff to implement required services.
  • Prepare timely monitoring reports (monthly) with patient numbers and logistics, and quality assurance reports (quarterly) for internal use.
  • Monitor and track patient files in real time as patients proceed.
  • Maintain and update electronic program files, including patient and quality assurance data.
  • Conduct administrative duties for the office and relationships.
  • Work closely with pharmacy staff in KSA and other Axios group team members.

Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Pharmaceuticals.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Evidence of pharmacy license in KSA.
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English.
  • Clinical pharmaceutical knowledge and experience in providing direct patient care.
