Diaverum is a Swedish-born, multinational healthcare organisation providing life-enhancing renal care to patients with chronic kidney disease. With more than 15,000 employees across 25 countries, and over 1,400 colleagues in 33 cities and towns across the Kingdom, we combine global experience with strong local presence. Our vision is to transform renal care by broadening access to high-quality kidney care. This is enabled by our standardised care delivery model, continuously evolving digital and AI capabilities, and people who care with competence, passion and inspiration.
At Diaverum Saudi Arabia, the patient experience begins the moment someone walks through the clinic door. Before any clinical care is delivered, the Patient Assistant is there. How a patient is received, guided and supported during their session shapes how they feel about their care. That first and last impression matters.
We are now looking for a Patient Assistant who receives patients with warmth, supports their comfort during the treatment session and keeps the clinic running smoothly for the clinical team.
The RoleThe patient assistant is responsible for receiving patients at the clinic and supporting their non-medical needs throughout their treatment session. You are the first face a patient sees and the last one they interact with before they leave.
You will report to the Head Nurse and work closely with the Assistant Head Nurse and the clinic team.
What You Will DoYou will support patients and the clinic team throughout each treatment session.
- Receive patients at the clinic main entrance and escort them to the treatment area.
- Show a welcoming and respectful attitude to patients and their families at all times.
- Respectfully manage family members to ensure the treatment area remains safe and clinical.
- Assist patients with their needs and distribute meals as per the schedule.
- Support patients with medication delivery and documentation requirements.
- Keep clinic equipment and assets such as wheelchairs in good working condition.
- Support the daily delivery of consumables from the warehouse to the treatment area.
You are warm, reliable and calm in a clinical environment. You treat every patient with dignity and you take your role in their day seriously.
You will be well-suited to this role if you:
- Approach patients and families with patience and genuine care.
- Stay organised and follow through on tasks without needing reminders.
- Work comfortably as part of a clinical team.
- Handle a busy environment without losing focus or composure.
- Take the Diaverum standards and values seriously in every interaction.
We are looking for someone with real, hands-on experience in infection control in a clinical setting.
What we need:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Arabic is required. English is desirable.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing, hospitality or healthcare support role.
- Familiarity with a clinical or hospital environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy setting.
- Experience working with patients or elderly individuals.
- Basic understanding of clinic operations or administrative support.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems for documentation.
Dialysis patients attend treatment multiple times every week. The Patient Assistant is a consistent, familiar presence in their care journey. How you greet them, guide them and support them during each session directly affects how they experience their care at Diaverum.
