Team Supervision and Leadership
Supervise, train, and motivate laundry staff; assign tasks and provide guidance to ensure team members perform their duties effectively and efficiently. Laundry Operations ManagementCoordinate laundry activities—including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing—to meet quantity and quality requirements. Schedule work shifts, prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and monitor workflow to ensure timely processing of laundry items and adherence to service standards.
Quality Control and InspectionConduct quality checks on laundered items, inspect cleanliness, check for stains or damages, and ensure linens and textiles meet hygiene standards and guest expectations. Implement quality control measures, address any issues or discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, laundry volumes, and service requests.
Equipment Maintenance and SafetyOversee maintenance of laundry equipment, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure machines function properly for washing, drying, and ironing tasks. Enforce safety protocols, handle chemicals safely, use protective gear, and promote a safe work environment for staff while operating laundry machinery and handling cleaning agents.
Inventory Management and Stock ControlMonitor linen inventory levels, track usage patterns, and replenish supplies as needed to support daily operations and meet guest demands for clean linens and textiles. Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, and F&B departments to manage linen requests, stock levels, and distribution of laundered items throughout the property.
Stain Removal and Special TreatmentsIdentify stains, apply appropriate cleaning treatments, and follow specialized procedures for stain removal on fabrics, linens, or garments to ensure thorough cleaning results. Train staff on stain removal techniques, provide guidance on handling delicate fabrics, and oversee the application of stain removers or spot treatments for tough stains.
Reporting and DocumentationGenerate reports on laundry productivity, inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and quality control metrics to track performance indicators and identify areas for improvement. Maintain records of laundry processes, service requests, staff schedules, and inventory movements, ensuring accurate documentation and data management for operational analysis.
Customer Service and CommunicationInteract with guests, internal departments, and suppliers professionally; respond to service inquiries, address guest requests, and resolve issues related to laundry services. Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office, and Maintenance teams to facilitate seamless operations, coordinate service deliveries, and ensure guest satisfaction with laundry services.
Continuous Improvement and SustainabilityExplore and implement new technology and equipment wherever appropriate. Promote sustainable practices in daily tasks, focusing on reducing waste, saving energy, and using resources efficiently.
Skills- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage the laundry team and ensure efficient operations.
- Expertise in laundry processes, equipment maintenance, and fabric care.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities essential for managing quality control and addressing any issues.

- Ability to train and motivate staff while ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Previous experience in laundry operations, linen management, or a supervisory role within a hotel or similar setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of laundry processes, fabric care techniques, stain removal methods, and industrial laundry equipment operations.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to supervise a team, delegate tasks, provide training, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Strong communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to interact courteously with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, chemical handling procedures, and compliance with health and hygiene standards in laundry operations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and adapt to changing operational demands and guest service needs.
- Training or certification in laundry management, textile care, equipment maintenance, or hospitality operations is an advantage.
