Job Scope
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the reservations department, overseeing reservation staff, processes, and systems to ensure smooth booking procedures.
- Monitor reservation inquiries, room availability, and booking requests to optimize room inventory and maximize revenue potential.
- Maintain and update reservation systems, online booking platforms, and distribution channels to ensure accurate room availability, rates, and booking information.
- Implement rate management strategies, promotional offers, and inventory controls to drive direct bookings and increase revenue.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, handling reservation inquiries, special requests, and booking modifications in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicate with guests via phone, email, and in‑person interactions to confirm reservations, address queries, and ensure a seamless booking experience.
- Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize room rates, pricing strategies, and inventory controls based on demand forecasting and market trends.
- Implement upselling techniques, package offers, and cross‑selling strategies to maximize revenue per available room, RevPAR, and overall room revenue.
- Lead and motivate the reservations team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance, productivity, and service excellence.
- Conduct regular training sessions, performance evaluations, and coaching to enhance team skills and knowledge of reservation procedures.
- Generate reservation reports, analyze booking trends, and track key performance indicators to evaluate reservation performance.
- Monitor booking patterns and identify revenue opportunities.
- Utilize data insights to make informed decisions, adjust booking strategies, and optimize room inventory for revenue growth.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in reservation processes, booking confirmations, and guest information to deliver a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.
- Identify process inefficiencies, implement improvements, and streamline reservation procedures to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in reservations management, front office operations, or guest services within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team, set goals, and drive performance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building.
- Proficiency in reservation systems, booking platforms, and revenue management tools.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make strategic decisions.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in reservations management.
