JOB TITLE:

CONCIERGE REPORTING TO: CHIEF CONCIERGE THE POSITION

The Concierge is responsible for delivering exceptional guest services, ensuring that all guest needs are met with efficiency and professionalism. This role involves assisting guests with inquiries, coordinating requests, and providing information about local attractions and services to enhance the overall guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Experience Management
  • Ensure the delivery of outstanding concierge services by maintaining high service standards and attention to detail.
  • Assist in developing and implementing initiatives that exceed guest expectations and enhance overall satisfaction.
Guest Preferences and Special Requests
  • Maintain detailed records of guest preferences and special requests to enhance personalized service.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests promptly and efficiently.
VIP Services
  • Assist in the handling of VIP guests, ensuring seamless arrivals, departures, and personalized services throughout their stay.
  • Anticipate the needs of VIP guests and provide tailored experiences, from reservations to specialized services.
Operational Efficiency Communication and Collaboration
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure smooth communication and coordination across all hotel functions.
  • Participate in regular briefings with the concierge team to share guest feedback and operational updates.
Operational Procedures
  • Regularly review and optimize operational procedures for concierge services to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all concierge staff adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
Financial Performance Billing and Payments
  • Assist guests with inquiries related to billing for concierge services and ensure accuracy in guest accounts.
  • Support the monitoring and management of the budget for the concierge services department.
Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations relevant to concierge operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that concierge service areas are safe and welcoming.
Personal Development
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the concierge team.
  • Encourage team members to take initiative and demonstrate confidence in their roles.
Leadership
  • Support the Chief Concierge in training and supervising concierge staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Participate in regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and identifying development opportunities.
Creating the Future
  • Contribute to innovative service initiatives to continually enhance the guest experience.
  • Stay informed about future trends in luxury hospitality and adapt concierge strategies accordingly.
Living the Brand
  • Embody the hotel’s values and service philosophy, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the brand’s commitment to excellence.
  • Take pride in providing warm, genuine service that anticipates and fulfills guest needs.
  • Engage with the local community to promote the hotel’s reputation for quality service and unique experiences.
  • Embrace and practice the company’s legacy values and competencies in all team, and stakeholder interactions, acting as a role model for the desired culture and behaviors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Concierge or in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse guests.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality service.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
  • Local market experience and understanding of Middle-Eastern hospitality preferences.
