About the hotel

Sol Qiddiya will be part of Qiddiya’s East Village North, located within the Resort Core of one of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious entertainment, sports and arts destinations. The hotel will be surrounded by key attractions including Six Flags, a water theme park, a motor sport park, a food hall and immersive entertainment experiences. Designed under the SOL brand concept, this project offers a vibrant, energetic and family‑oriented hospitality experience for active families seeking escape, fun and memorable moments in a dynamic environment.

Main responsibilities
  • Lead the full pre‑opening strategy of the hotel, ensuring that all operational, commercial, financial, people and brand milestones are delivered successfully ahead of the opening in Q2 2027.
  • Build and develop the leadership team and hotel team from scratch, creating a strong culture of service, collaboration, accountability and passion for hospitality.
  • Drive the operational set‑up of the hotel across rooms, F&B, serviced apartments, guest experience, entertainment, family facilities and all key hotel services.
  • Ensure the successful positioning of Sol Qiddiya within the destination, bringing the Meliá Sol brand to life through a vibrant, warm and memorable guest experience.
  • Manage key relationships with regional leadership, ownership, project stakeholders and local partners, ensuring alignment during the pre‑opening phase and after the hotel launch.
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience as General Manager or senior Hotel Manager in leisure hotels, resorts or lifestyle hospitality environments.
  • Previous experience in hotel openings, pre‑openings or post‑opening phases.
  • Strong operational background and the ability to lead complex projects from planning to execution.
  • Experience managing large teams, building leadership structures and developing talent in multicultural environments.
  • Strong understanding of leisure hospitality, family‑oriented guest experiences, F&B operations and destination‑driven hotels.
  • Excellent business vision, financial acumen and commercial mindset.
  • Previous experience in the GCC market is a must.
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia will be considered a strong plus.
  • Arabic speaker will be highly valued.
  • A hands‑on, people‑oriented and highly adaptable leadership style, with the ability to inspire teams, create structure and bring energy to a new project.
