What will you do?

The Hotel General Manager for Barceló Riyadh Olaya is responsible for the overall operational management, financial performance, and guest satisfaction of the hotel, ensuring alignment with Barceló Gestiôn Hotelera’s brand standards and strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Human Resources, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue goals, optimize profitability, and enhance market share.
  • Manage the hotel’s budget, financial reporting, and cost control measures, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service delivery, prompt resolution of guest issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of hotel professionals, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, suppliers, and local community representatives.
  • Implement and monitor quality control programs to uphold Barceló’s brand standards and guest experience.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel’s facilities and assets.
  • Represent the hotel and company at industry events and within the local community.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 5 years in a General Manager role of a full‑service hotel.
  • Proven track record of successful financial performance, revenue growth, and guest satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent understanding of hotel operations, financial management, sales & marketing, and human resources.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing teams.
  • Knowledge of the Riyadh hospitality market is a plus.
