Laundry attendant

Overview

Laundry Attendant position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Reports to the Laundry Supervisor. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within laundry operations and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.

• Sort soiled guestroom and food & beverage linens, filling containers and preparing them for pick-up with accurate labeling
• Identify and set aside misused or damaged linen for further investigation and reporting
• Report any foreign articles found within the linen or chute area to the Supervisor immediately
• Fold, roll, and organize clean towels, bathrobes, and room linens into containers for distribution by floor staff
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves
• Assist with washing towels and linens when required, following all guidelines for chemical handling and proper lifting techniques
• Report any equipment malfunctions or potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor promptly
• Support other team members and assist with additional duties within the laundry area as needed
• Attend training courses and professional development sessions provided by the Housekeeping and Human Resources departments

• High School diploma or vocational training certification
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in laundry operations or housekeeping (preferred)
• Basic understanding of the English language, both written and verbal
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 25 lbs regularly
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures consistently and accurately
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols and chemical handling best practices
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
• Physical stamina and endurance for a fast-paced laundry environment
• Previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping operations (preferred)
• Problem-solving ability and resilience in a dynamic work setting
