The Housekeeping Attendant
- Guest Environment will help create a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming hotel atmosphere for guests throughout their stay. The role goes beyond cleaning rooms and making beds; it involves maintaining the appearance of the full hotel environment, handling guest requests with care, replenishing supplies, supporting public area cleanliness, and completing assigned housekeeping duties with consistency. The selected candidate will directly support guest satisfaction by ensuring hotel spaces remain fresh, organized, and aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel procedures, room assignment requirements, and quality standards.
- Make beds, replace linens, refresh towels, replenish amenities, and arrange guest room items with attention to detail.
- Clean bathrooms, floors, furniture, surfaces, mirrors, fixtures, and guest room areas thoroughly.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas, corridors, service spaces, and other assigned hotel locations.
- Respond to guest requests in a polite, timely, and professional manner.
- Restock housekeeping carts with linen, towels, guest supplies, cleaning products, and tools required for daily tasks.
- Move through assigned areas proactively and complete housekeeping duties based on operational needs.
- Report maintenance problems, damaged items, safety hazards, unusual findings, or lost items to the supervisor.
- Follow company policies, cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, hygiene standards, and security requirements.
- Protect guest privacy, maintain confidentiality, and handle hotel property and guest belongings responsibly.
- Ensure uniform, personal appearance, and communication remain professional during the full shift.
- Maintain quality standards by checking work carefully before rooms or spaces are released for guest use.
- Support team members when required to complete room cleaning, public area duties, or guest service priorities.
- Use cleaning tools, equipment, supplies, and housekeeping materials correctly and safely.
- Stand, sit, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items as required during daily housekeeping work.
- Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance when required by operational duties.
- Perform other reasonable housekeeping duties requested by supervisors to support guest satisfaction and hotel operations.
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, room attendant, hotel operations, or janitorial experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning rooms, arranging supplies, checking presentation, and following service standards.
- Able to follow instructions, cleaning checklists, safety procedures, and company policies accurately.
- Comfortable working in an active role that requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, carrying, and moving during the shift.
- Good attitude toward guest service, teamwork, confidentiality, and professional behavior.
- Able to communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues, and guests when required.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to support housekeeping needs across guest rooms and public spaces.
- Able to work in a luxury hotel environment where cleanliness, care, appearance, and consistency are essential.
- Physically able to move supplies, restock carts, clean assigned areas, and complete housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
