Catering Manager

Role Description

The Catering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing catering operations for events, including menu design, food preparation oversight, and service logistics. The Catering Manager collaborates with restaurant leadership, kitchen teams, and service staff to ensure high-quality food presentation, timely delivery, and smooth event execution. Day-to-day tasks include managing client inquiries and bookings, developing event proposals, supervising set-up and breakdown, monitoring food and beverage standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role also involves managing catering budgets, tracking inventory, training team members, and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily catering operations and event execution.
• Manage client requirements, service delivery, logistics, staffing, and production coordination.
• Lead catering, service, and operational teams.
• Prepare operational plans, budgets, quotations, and cost estimates.
• Monitor food cost, labor cost, inventory, wastage, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality, and contractual standards.
• Build strong client relationships and respond effectively to operational concerns.
• Coordinate with culinary, procurement, finance, HR, logistics, and business-development teams.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant catering or hospitality experience, including managerial responsibility.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates Qatar, or another established hospitality market.
• Degree or professional qualification in Hospitality Management, Catering Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with reputable catering companies, luxury hotels, hospitality groups, or large-scale food-service operations.
• Proven experience managing high-volume operations, events, contracts, or multiple service locations.
• Strong commercial understanding, budgeting ability, and cost-control experience.
• Excellent client-management, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Stable career history with clear progression and measurable achievements.
