Social Case Assessor effectively manages a caseload ensuring beneficiaries are provided with the required advice, guidance and support throughout each of their individual empowerment journeys.
Social Case Assessor support beneficiaries to over-come barriers to social inclusion, gain financial
independence and empower beneficiaries through social services.
The position is required to meet pre‑determined performance measures established by management and to meet contractual requirements and obligations.
Responsibilities- Greets beneficiaries upon their visit to the site office and provides detail about the programmer and information and to explain the benefits and impact.
- Guides beneficiary through the assessment process and supports their use of technology required to do so, such as handheld tablets.
- Provides information about the beneficiary portal.
- Holds motivational interview with the beneficiary and discusses the outcome of the assessment.
- Validates the beneficiary streams assigned post‑assessment.
- Discusses NPO catalogue content and answers beneficiary questions.
- Discusses job goals and employment options with beneficiary.
- Directs job ready beneficiaries to the labour market, based on their needs.
- Identifies barriers to employment.
- Coaches beneficiary on job search skills.
- Appropriately classifies and progresses beneficiaries in relation to job readiness categories.
- Discusses training options with beneficiary including courses which will support a beneficiary to secure employment such as confidence building, CV writing.
- Creates action plan with beneficiary based on NPO service catalogue and training options.
- Discusses employment fairs which may be relevant to each of their beneficiaries and nominates beneficiaries to the Employer Services team.
- Escalates any questions they cannot immediately answer.
- Ensures beneficiary submits CSAT survey.
- Monitors beneficiary progress through their empowerment journey and keeps case notes up to date at each stage of the journey.
- Contacts the beneficiary if they are not progressing as planned, are absent or do not remain in contact.
- Handles the program exit process as per defined procedures and in line with contractual requirements.
- Updates Maximus systems with required information at any stage when they liaise with a partner; inputs any personal information as required in line with Maximus operational processes and procedures.
- Flags any issues or feedback on NPO services to Partnership Specialists on site.
- Ensures all information is handled sensitively in line with Maximus policies and procedures.
- Ensures they are smartly dressed at all times, works in line with Maximus values, complies with the Maximus Code of Conduct, Guiding Principles and upholds ethical behavioural standards.
- Acts at all times within the company policies and procedures.
- Works to the highest quality standards. § Collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Participate in trainings to develop and implement quality improvement knowledge, skills and attitudes.
- Complies with the Maximus security and privacy policies to ensure customer data, confidential data and personal information is always dealt with in a confidential and secure way, and our obligations around this are maintained.
- Carries out all duties in a safe and proper manner in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety and Safeguarding Policies.
- Deals with any other tasks, as and when required, appropriate to the position and situation.
- Bachelors’ degree in a relevant subject.
- Technology savvy – knowledge of CRM systems or similar such as an ATS.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Ability to collect and convey information clearly.
- Resilience and adaptability.
- Ability to work independently and to manage time effectively to service a caseload.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with beneficiaries and colleagues.
- Problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of data input.
- Reliable with a high level of integrity and a strong ethical approach.
- Displays compassion.
- Is passionate about serving the community.
- A minimum of one year’s case management experience working with beneficiaries is essential.
- Experience with in employment services is beneficial.
