The HR Intern will support the HR department with routine administrative work, employee database updates, document preparation, event coordination, and basic employee support tasks. This position provides valuable workplace learning for a student or early‑career candidate wishing to understand how HR teams maintain accurate employee information, support internal processes, respond to staff queries, and contribute to a professional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities- Update company HR databases by entering new employee records and maintaining accurate employee information.
- Assist HR staff with filing, checking, and organizing employment forms and related HR documents.
- Support basic HR administration tasks related to onboarding records, employee files, benefits queries, and internal HR coordination.
- Help organize company events, employee engagement activities, and team gatherings.
- Respond to HR team requests and support routine HR matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with employee benefits coordination by collecting information, updating records, and routing queries to the appropriate HR team member.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee information and HR documentation.
- Support document tracking, record updates, spreadsheet maintenance, and administrative follow‑up for HR activities.
- Coordinate with internal employees and HR colleagues to obtain missing details and maintain clean records.
- Prepare simple HR summaries, lists, and updates using Microsoft Office tools when required.
- Ensure HR files and records are organized, easy to retrieve, and aligned with internal procedures.
- Learn and follow company HR processes, workplace communication standards, and professional conduct expectations.
- Perform additional HR administrative and employee support tasks assigned by the HR team.
- Currently enrolled in Human Resources or another relevant curriculum at an accredited college or university.
- Interest in building a career in Human Resources, employee support, or people operations.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while asking for guidance when needed.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications for documentation, spreadsheets, emails, and presentations.
- Good interpersonal skills and professional communication with HR colleagues and employees.
- Strong English writing and speaking skills are required.
- Organized, detail‑focused, and accurate in routine administrative work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act professionally when handling employee information.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to support a busy HR team.
