Position: Workers Welfare Manager, KSA (Arabic Speaking Only) at Six Construct

Workers Welfare Manager (Arabic Speaking Only)

Location:

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Full‑time, on‑site.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement welfare policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with Saudi social law, company policies, ESG standards, and fair labor practices. Ensure policies extend to own employees, employees of third‑party labor providers, and sub‑contracted workers.
  • Act as a role model in the application of welfare rules and company culture.
  • Identify, assess, and document risks related to the employment and welfare of both white‑collar and blue‑collar workers; propose mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Collaborate with joint venture partners to align welfare policies and practices and work closely with clients and subcontractors to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Ensure contractual follow‑up at the beginning of each new contract and assist in the onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers to promote and audit rules and regulations.
  • Establish regular audit schedules to monitor compliance with welfare policies and procedures (accommodation, remuneration, recruitment practices, safety, training, freedom of movement).
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, highlight areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions; follow up on implementation to ensure sustained compliance.
  • Report regularly to local project management, the Middle East central office, and HQ on welfare initiatives, risks, audit results, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure company welfare practices meet local regulations and international standards, particularly related to ESG criteria and fair labor agreements.
  • Organize training sessions and workshops for employees and partners to promote understanding and compliance with welfare policies.
  • Review and update welfare programs regularly to ensure they meet company and employee needs and align with organizational goals.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to address welfare‑related concerns and feedback, communicating program details through meetings, newsletters, and digital platforms.
  • Build an internal network of worker representation to detect and address concerns and requests.
  • Collaborate with external service providers, community organizations, and health care professionals to enhance welfare services.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on data related to welfare program usage and employee feedback, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Law, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5years of experience in a welfare HR (construction) or compliance role, preferably within a multinational or regional context.
  • Knowledge of labor laws in Saudi Arabia and international fair labor standards.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic is required; other languages are highly appreciated.
  • Local experience in the Gulf region is mandatory.
  • Experience with ESG policies and reporting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management, auditing and reporting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to develop effective policies and implement them across complex organizational structures.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to ensuring fair labor practices.
  • Self‑discipline and capability to work autonomously.
  • Impeccable values and behaviours are required.
Work Environment

The role is primarily stationed in Riyadh, with regular travel within Saudi Arabia and occasional trips to the Middle East HQ.
