The Performance Management Specialist at First Gulf Company (FGC) is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the company's performance management framework across its 4,000+ workforce. Operating within the HR function, this role drives a high-performance culture by embedding KPI-based and Balanced Scorecard methodologies across FGC's three core divisions:
Systems Integration, Construction & MEP, and Facility Management. The role is central to FGC's people strategy and its commitment to delivering excellence in support of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve FGC's performance management framework using KPIs and the Balanced Scorecard methodology, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy across all divisions.
- Develop standardized performance templates, rating scales, and evaluation criteria that are consistent, fair, and applicable across diverse roles, from field engineers to corporate functions.
- Lead the annual goal-setting cycle, working with department heads to cascade organizational KPIs down to team and individual levels in a meaningful and measurable way.
- Coach managers and employees on writing SMART objectives and defining clear performance indicators tied to business outcomes.
- Manage end-to-end performance appraisal cycles, mid-year check-ins and annual reviews, ensuring timely completion, consistency of assessment, and calibration across business units.
- Facilitate calibration sessions with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to ensure fair, bias free performance ratings across the organization.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, flight risks, high performers, and capability gaps, and present actionable insights to HR leadership and business heads.
- Maintain performance dashboards and produce regular reports on cycle completion rates, rating distributions, and year-on-year performance trends.
- Design and deliver training for managers on conducting effective performance conversations, giving feedback and using the performance management system.
- Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for all performance-related queries from employees and managers across FGC's locations.
- Partner with L&D on linking performance outcomes to individual development plans, training priorities, and career pathways.
- Collaborate with Compensation & Benefits to ensure performance ratings are accurately reflected in reward, promotion, and Saudization (Nitaqat) decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is highly preferred; certification in performance or OD frameworks is a strong plus.
- Minimum 4–6 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on performance management, organizational effectiveness, or HR Business Partnering.
- Demonstrated experience designing and running KPI-based or Balanced Scorecard performance frameworks in a mid-to-large organization.
- Prior exposure to technically diverse or project-driven work forces (construction, engineering, systems integration, or similar) is an advantage.
