About the Role

As Legal Counsel at Tumodo, you'll be at the heart of our legal operations, supporting our growth in KSA and various aspects of our business with your legal expertise. From drafting contracts and supporting corporate governance to managing regulatory compliance, you'll play a crucial role in enabling our business to move quickly while staying compliant with Saudi law.

Working as the sole in-house counsel and legal representative in Riyadh reporting to the Global CLO, you'll support legal affairs across corporate, regulatory, labor, and commercial domains specific to the Saudi market.

What You'll Be Doing Contractual and Corporate Law
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and legal documentation with clients, suppliers, and employees governed by Saudi law
  • Advise on corporate structure, draft BoD and shareholder resolutions, articles of association, and shareholders agreements
Regulatory Affairs & Compliance
  • Liaise with Saudi regulatory and governmental bodies including Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), SIMAH, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Investment, QIWA, and other relevant authorities
  • Monitor, interpret, and assess regulatory updates, circulars, directives, and decisions issued by Saudi regulators
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical, implementable internal policies, procedures, and operational controls
  • Support the business in responding to regulatory inquiries, inspections, and compliance requests
  • Provide legal advice on Saudi laws, regulations, and regulatory frameworks applicable to the business
Labor & Employment
  • Provide legal support on Saudi labor law matters
  • Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and QIWA contracts
Debt Collection & Disputes
  • Ensure collection of outstanding debt via legal procedures as relevant for various customer countries and KSA
  • Manage legal disputes and litigation matters
General Legal Support
  • Address various legal matters across the business as they arise
  • Serve as internal legal advisor with a solution-oriented, client-focused approach
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, providing practical legal advice
Requirements
  • Saudi National (in line with nationalization requirements.)
  • Qualified legal professional with solid experience practicing or advising on Saudi law for 2-4 years
  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
  • Deep knowledge of Saudi contractual and labor law, including QIWA contracts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice
  • Experience overseeing preparation and development of contracts with clients, suppliers, and employees
  • Supportive to internal clients, solution-oriented, flexible, and attentive to details
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of GDPR or Saudi equivalent Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)
  • General understanding of IP (Intellectual Property) law issues
  • Exposure to corporate work (shareholders and BoD resolutions drafting, AoAs, corporate bodies resolutions, sale-purchase of shares) is highly advantageous
  • Sole in-house counsel experience with ability to work independently is preferred
  • Experience tracking and interpreting primary legislation published in the Saudi Official Gazette (Umm Al-Qura) for regulatory compliance purposes
  • Ability to navigate legal case law databases and research platforms such as , Lexis Nexis Middle East, Westlaw Middle East, etc.
