Job Purpose:To oversee the organization’s legal matters by providing legal advice, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing contracts and legal documentation, and protecting the organization’s legal interests in all business activities.
Key Accountabilities:- Provide legal advice and guidance to management on legal risks, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and governance frameworks.
- Manage legal disputes, claims, and litigation in coordination with external legal counsel.
- Support contract management processes and ensure legal alignment with procurement and commercial activities.
- Develop and maintain legal policies, procedures, and internal governance standards.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on potential legal impacts.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
- Manage relationships with external law firms and legal advisors.
- Prepare legal reports, opinions, and documentation for senior management.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in in Law (LLB) or related legal field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in similar position.
