To manage, facilitate, control and support the smooth and accurate execution of Bank projects according to processes, procedures and policies as outlined in the approved Riyadh Bank Project Management Methodology to ensure deliverables and milestones are met within the budget, and timeframe outlined in the project plan to meet the requirements of the internal client and quality standards of the Bank.
Areasof Responsibility
Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day-to-day Operations- Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the EPMO to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
- Develop project scope, approach, project charter, project plan, and conducting post implementation reviews alongside functional areas
- Responsible for streamlined execution of managed projects by leading delivery, scope, timelines & budget
- Responsible for time, cost, resource and risk management and vendor relationships management across managed projects
- Manage, track and report on the health of all elements of the project plan, change control, issues and risks; maintain regular communication with all project stakeholder groups
- Directly liaise with stakeholders across functional areas to support initiative development and prioritization within the function
- Ensures compliance with EPMO standards and processes in assigned projects through all lifecycle stages
- Creates all project documents using agreed EPMO templates and helps mobilize project team during project initiation
- Ensures that all deliverables to business units & vendors are high quality and in line with stakeholder expectations
- Liaises with stakeholders across business units to develop and priorities initiatives; provides regular reports to all stakeholders and keeps them engaged through project design and delivery
- Proactively manages project task/activity timelines for milestone completion and critical path management
- Manages assigned time of EPMO Business Analysts (BAs); trains them in PM tools and techniques
- Monitors the execution progress of the tasks assigned to project team members against timeline and scope to confirm acceptance or potential deviation from approved scope and plan
- Tracks and reports progress of projects and assumes ownership for the resolution of issues, escalating complex problems for management decision.
- Monitors the actual costs against budget and provides analytical information to the Project Steering Committee and EPMO
- Manages external vendors and/or internal developers to achieve the agreed outcomes of the project according to agreed scope
- Reviews and evaluates submitted project deliverables for completeness and alignment with stated work objectives
- Prepares presentations to Project Steering Committee regarding the project development process, cost and potential issues identified and actions implemented, so as to provide a clear picture regarding the execution of the project and facilitate any decision making required
- Reviews the invoices provided from vendors regarding the execution of tasks proceeds to the assessment of the deliverable so as to authorize the payment or rejection of the invoice
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Prepares timely and accurate progress reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Undertake any other related duties or tasks as directed and required by the Bank.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or any suitable degree preferably at post-graduate level.
- International project management certification, e.g. PMP.
