Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Section Manager – Planning to lead the planning function across multiple projects. The role is responsible for ensuring that all schedules, project controls, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics align with organizational objectives and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee a team of planners and provide strategic direction, high-level analysis, and decision-support to project leadership and executive management. This position plays a critical leadership role in driving schedule performance, risk mitigation, governance, and planning excellence across the project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the planning team across multiple projects.
- Ensure adoption of best practices, standardized procedures, and planning governance.
- Develop, review, and approve detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Lead schedule risk assessments and ensure early identification and mitigation of potential delays.
- Oversee progress measurement systems, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly executive reports, dashboards, and portfolio summaries.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, procurement, engineering, and subcontractors to ensure schedule alignment.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Lead claims support, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, and forensic delay analysis when required.
- Oversee resource and manpower planning to optimize productivity and cost efficiency.
- Provide strategic planning insights and recommendations to executive management.
- Extensive experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within EPC, construction, or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Mandatory proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong command of MS Office tools.
- Strong expertise in project controls, progress measurement systems, cost control integration, and performance analysis.
- Proven experience in claims management, EOT preparation, and delay analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing planning teams across multiple projects.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
